Gas Flow Arrestor(GFA)

A safety device to shut off the flow of gas and alerting the community of the presence of fire. The GFA aids firefighters to extinguish the fire without fearing the possibility of a gas EXPLOSION.

One very effective way is with an engineered safety device called the Gas Flow Arrestor or better known as GFA. The GFA is an continuous monitoring system, which will shut off the main gas supply and call 911 automatically if a fire occurs even if no one is at home.

Basically, it consists of a solenoid gas valve, fire alarm control and smoke/heat detectors, which can be strategically located anywhere and in any multitude. The fire alarm control panel has a battery back-up which prevents against utility power failure and ensures a temporary fail safe system.

The gas valve has a visual indicator light that verifies if it is open or closed. The solenoid is protected by a NEMA 4X or weatherproof enclosure. The entire system operates on a 24 volt current and complies with NFPA regulations. All components are UL approved. There is even a proximity alarm, both audible and visual mounted to the outside of the building for the safety of innocent traffic.
